COLD PROCESS NATURAL SOAP : THE BENEFITS & WHY YOU SHOULD MAKE THE SWITCH

Soap is an essential part of our daily routine, but have you ever thought about the type of soap you're using? Cold process soap, also known as handmade soap, is a natural alternative to commercial soap that offers numerous benefits for the skin and the environment. In this blog post, we'll take a closer look at the benefits of cold process soap and why you should make the switch.

  1. Natural ingredients: Cold process soap is made from natural ingredients such as oils, butters, and herbs, making it gentler on the skin compared to commercial soap. The natural ingredients in cold process soap provide nourishing benefits to the skin, leaving it feeling hydrated and refreshed.

  2. Chemical-free: Commercial soap often contains harsh chemicals such as sodium lauryl sulfate, which can dry out and irritate the skin. Cold process soap is free from these harmful chemicals, making it a safer and more natural option.

  3. Long-lasting: Cold process soap is made through a slow curing process, which results in a harder, longer-lasting bar of soap compared to commercial soap. Not only is this more economical, but it also means you'll be producing less waste by using less soap over time.

  4. Customisable: Handmade soap can be customised to suit your specific skin type and preferences, with the option to add natural ingredients like essential oils and herbs for added benefits. Whether you have dry, oily, or sensitive skin, you can find a cold process soap that's right for you.

  5. Environmentally friendly: Cold process soap is made in small batches and doesn't contain harmful chemicals, making it a more environmentally friendly option compared to commercial soap. Additionally, many soap makers use sustainable biodegradable plastic-free packaging, further reducing their impact on the environment.

Making the switch to cold process soap is easy and can bring a number of benefits to your skin and the environment. With the knowledge that you're using a natural and chemical-free product, you can feel good about your daily cleansing routine. Give cold process soap a try and see the difference for yourself!

NATURAL SKIN AND BODY CARE OILS, SERUM & BALSAM

When it comes to taking care of your skin, the first thing you think about is religiously applying your favorite moisturizer. But that's not all! Facial oils are a great way to diffuse active ingredients. For Leo Oleum, this has become a trademark for protecting and repairing fragile skin.

Here are the main reasons why natural care oils are a must-have!

Applying a botanical oil to the face also provides the skin with a real anti-dehydration shield. Not only does its formula provide the skin with extra fatty substances, but it's also a great asset for treating dehydrated skin, as the very thin layer of oil applied acts like a shield, preventing water from evaporating. If you leave a glass of water in the middle of the desert, you'll see that it won't take long before it's completely dry. Cover it with a thin layer of face oil and you'll see that the water will no longer be able to evaporate... It's the same for your skin!

Why is skincare oil essential for the face and body?
As the skin's protective barrier is often altered by internal factors (stress, medication) or external aggressions (cold, pollution), facial oil acts as a protective veil. When skin is put to the test, the intercellular cement that holds cells together becomes fragile. The lipids naturally produced by our skin can lose quality and density. Facial oil then comes into play, acting as a crutch to regenerate and nourish the skin.

Botanical oils are naturally rich in active ingredients such as essential fatty acids (also known as Omega 3, 6 and 9) and vitamins. In short, they're a real treat for the skin!
Choose your vegetable oil according to your specific needs.

Simplification doesn't mean less quality or less efficiency. Here are the highlights:

No more aqueous phase means no more microbacteriological problems, one less preservative and more emulgator.
